Donations and prasadam booking refund guidelines

Donation Refund Policy

All donations made to ISKCON Siliguri represent voluntary acts of seva (service) and spiritual contribution. As a general rule, donations once successfully completed are non-refundable. However, we will review refund requests under the following technical conditions:

  • Duplicate Charges: If the payment gateway (Razorpay) charges your card or bank account multiple times for the same transaction due to network latencies or browser session disconnects.
  • Technical Discrepancies: If a payment system glitch alters the intended donation value during processing.
  • Failed Status with Debit: If your account is debited but the platform marks the transaction as failed and does not generate a receipt.

Important Exclusions

Please note that no refund requests can be processed under any circumstances once the official 80G tax exemption receipt has been filed with the Income Tax Department of India (Form 10BD submission), as the transaction is locked in government records.

How to Request a Donation Refund

To submit a refund claim, please reach out to us within 7 days of the transaction. Send your request through our Contact Page or by emailing [email protected] with the following details:

  • Donor Name, Phone Number, and Email Address.
  • Transaction ID and date of the payment.
  • Amount debited.
  • Screenshot of the payment receipt or bank statement debit line.
  • A brief explanation of the issue.

Requests received beyond 7 days from the payment date will not be eligible for refund evaluation.

Refund Processing Time

Once a refund is approved by our accounts department, the request is forwarded to our payment gateway partner. The credit will be processed and returned to the original payment source (bank account, credit/debit card, or UPI VPA) within 5 to 10 business days, in compliance with RBI guidelines.

Prasadam Meal Booking Cancellations

Prasadam meal vouchers booked in advance through our application or website are managed under the following rules:

  • Cancellation 24 Hours Prior: If you cancel your meal booking at least 24 hours before the scheduled distribution date, a full refund will be credited back to you.
  • Same-Day Cancellations: No refunds are possible for same-day cancellations, as ingredients are procured and preparation is already completed.
  • Non-Collection: If you fail to scan your booking coupon and collect your prasadam during distribution hours on the scheduled date, the voucher will expire, and no refunds or carry-forwards will be issued.

Seva Sponsorships & Guest House Bookings

Seva sponsorships are non-refundable once the prayers or ritual events have been executed. For any guest room or hall booking cancellations, refunds are subject to standard cancellation slabs depending on how many days prior the request is received. Please consult the admin desk for details.
